‘Hypnotizingly’ Good Time Promised at After-Prom Party
Volunteers are still needed for the Valley High School event that includes inflatables, giant tricycle races and – new this year – West Des Moines hypnotist Ben Ulin.

Valley High School’s prom will be held April 20, but the fun doesn’t end when the last song plays at the formal dance at the Iowa Events Center’s Hy-Vee Hall.
The prom starts at 8 p.m.
The theme for the after-prom party is “Putting on the Glitz.” The west doors will open at 11:30 p.m. and remain open for one hour until 12:30 a.m., when they’ll be locked.

West Des Moines hypnotist Ben Ulin will entertain this year. Other attractions include photo booths, inflatables, giant tricycle races and a cash cube. More information is on the school district’s web site.
The after-prom committee still needs volunteers to act as chaperones. If you’re interested, send an email to VAPVolunteers@hotmail.com.
It takes about 100 volunteers to put on the event and staff food booths, games and other activities, including drawings for door prizes.
The final door prize will be awarded at 4:30 a.m.
