These Hy-Vee supermarket employees are members of the first of two groups of walkers which took a one-kilometer walk from the Hy-Vee supermarket at 1700 Valley West Drive, West Des Moines, during the middle of the day on October 9.
The groups were talking as part of the Healthiest State Initiative, which encouraged people around the state to take a one-kilometer walk that day.
The groups were among scores which took place around West Des Moines and the state this day. Over 600,000 people have participated in the walks during the past two years, according to information from the Healthiest State Initiative, a privately led public initiative which intends to inspire Iowans to improve their health and happiness.
