Iowa Hawkeye Football Coming to West Des Moines
Valley Activities Director Brad Rose: "It's awesome."

West Des Moines will host an open University of Iowa football scrimmage this spring, giving central Iowa fans a chance to see what the Hawkeye team will look like when the season opens next fall.
Details are still being worked out for the April 20 open scrimmage, according to the Des Moines Register. The scrimmage will take place at Valley Stadium.
“It’s awesome,” Valley High School Activities Director Brad Rose told the newspaper. “We feel like this wil be a lot of fun.”
The scrimmage won’t replace the traditional open practice on the Hawkeyes’ home field at Kinnick Stadium.
The scrimmage will take place the same day as the Iowa State University Cyclones’ annual spring scrimmage.
