Actor/musician Kevin Costner is bringing his Modern West band to the m July 12.

He’ll perform mostly original material, including a song called “Leland, Iowa”, an anthem to the demise of small-town life. it goes like this:

“Take a walk down main street
Have a look around
Now look in all the windows
The empty buildings in this town
Imagine all the people
Who came and had to go
Look for something better
In the dream on down the road …”

The song,written by John Coinman, whose wife’s family once called Leland home, is an anthem to the demise of small-town America.
