Last Bell Will Ring for 27 West Des Moines Teachers

The West Des Moines Community School district will honor nearly 100 teachers and other staff members at a special reception to be held May 9.

It’s the 30th consecutive year for the reception, which is paid for with private donations, rather than tax dollars. Teachers will be honored for 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years of service and will receive a small gift of commemoration.

Retirees – there are 27 this year – will also be recognized.

Sponsorship opportunities are available at four levels:

Silver – $25 to $249

Gold – $250 to $499

Platinum – $500 to $999

Diamond – $1,000 or more
