Lining up for the parade
Fire trucks, Scouts, church groups, businesses and others participated in the West Des Moines parade.
A variety of participants, ranging from fire trucks to the West Des Moines community band (riding on a flatbed truck) participated in the city’s Independence Day parade on the evening of July 3.
The parade started on Valley West Drive and headed down Ashworth Road and Vine Street to 9th Street, where it turned south to its end in the Valley Junction area.
