Parts of Raccoon River Park Closed Due to Flooding
Dog park, gravel portion of the trail are expected to remain closed through the weekend.

Part of the recreational trail and the dog park at Raccoon River Park, 2500 Grand Ave., have been closed because of minor flooding, the West Des Moines Parks and Recreation Department said in a news release.
The gravel portion of the trail around the back side of Blue Heron Lake has been temporarily closed due to flooding of the Raccoon River. The trail is expected to remain closed through the weekend. Park visitors are asked to stay on the paved trail only.
The dog park in Raccoon River Park is also closed due to flooding. All other facilities in the park are open at this time.
