Party Like It’s the 1980s in Valley Junction: Totally Tubular Tuesday

RAGBRAI, the Des Moines Register’s Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa, has chosen Valley Junction as its mid-day stop and a “Totally Tubular Tuesday” street party from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. will offer non-stop fun.

If you’re motoring instead of pedaling to Valley Junction, consider parking at Hillside Ellementary School. The city will be running shuttles all day long.

All the better if you can ride your bike down.

Once you’re here, plan on lots of music, a beverage tent (yep, you need to be 21) and flash mobs throughout the day. Here’s the stage lineup:

3:30 p.m. Fahrenheit
