PHOTO GALLERY: West Des Moines Rotary Club Gives Bikes to Kids

A press release from the West Des Moines Rotary Club:

Twenty-five students at Clive Elementary School recently received bicycles courtesy of the Rotary Club of West Des Moines.

Bicycles were donated by West Des Moines residents and the Des Moines Bicycle Collective. Rotary club members inspected the bicycles and made needed repairs before they were given to the students. Each student also received a new helmet. Several Rotarians noted how rewarding it was to see the anticipation and excitement in the eyes of the students as they received their bicycles.

The Rotary Club plans to conduct additional bicycle giveaways this spring, but more bicycles are needed.  Residents having bicycles to donate can drop them off at Bike World, 5950 Village View Drive, or at Rasmussen Bike Shop, 301 Grand Avenue, both in West Des Moines.
