PHOTOS: Dowling Displays Percussion Power at Central Iowa Drumline Clinic

The Dowling Catholic High School Drumline showed off its beat Tuesday night at the Central Iowa Drumline Clinic in Ankeny.

Seven area high schools faced off in a non-competitive environment Tuesday night at the Central Iowa Drumline Clinic, held at Ankeny High School.

The Drumline was among the schools participating in the clinic. Judging the clinic was Steve Smyth, director of the Iowa State University marching band.

Other high schools participating were Bondurant-Farrar, Marshalltown, Newton, Winterset, Ankeny and Waukee.

Each drumline was allowed time to warm up before performing several routines for the crowd. Following their performances, Smyth reviewed his judgment and offered both praise and constructive criticism to the students.
