PODS® of Iowa to help single Des Moines mother ‘Clear the Clutter’

(DES MOINES, Iowa) – July 08, 2013 – Single mother Renee Wheeler of Des Moines was named the winner of the “Clear the Clutter” home contest sponsored by PODS® of Iowa, a moving and storage company, Star 102.5 FM and Organized by Design.

Wheeler, a widow with two teenage children, will receive three months of free storage from PODS of Des Moines and six hours of hands-on organizing services from Organized by Design.

Wheeler’s husband, Gary, passed away six years ago from Melanoma. The Wheeler family decided the room in the house that needed the most organization was the home office, where Gary would spend most of his time preparing finances and paperwork.

“We spent our time as a team fighting for his life and keeping our kids’ lives as normal possible,” Renee said. “When he passed, I had to learn his filing system methods but I would get so overwhelmed by the amount of paperwork and what needed to be recycled or given away. I thank PODS of Iowa for supplying me with their moving and storage services and Organized by Design for helping me keep organized as we move forward with our lives.”

PODS of Iowa and Organized by Design will tackle Wheeler’s home in the coming weeks.
