Police Arrest Suspected Thief at Gunpoint in Wells Fargo Bank
An Urbandale man charged with shoplifting 12 stocking caps and hats was arrested at gunpoint after he ran into a nearby Wells Fargo Bank.

An Urbandale man charged with shoplifting five NFL team stocking caps and seven other team hats from a Valley West Mall store wound up being arrested at gunpoint on Nov. 7, according to a West Des Moines Police report.
Kadeem Ozell Hendon, 19, was charged with fourth-degree theft for allegedly taking the hats from the Pro Image store at Valley West Mall.
When mall security officers confronted him, the police report said he ran from mall, crossed University Avenue and went into the Wells Fargo Bank office. Bank employees called police, and two officers with guns drawn arrested Hendon inside the bank.

Total value of the stolen hats was listed at $307.88.
Hendon was also wanted on an Altoona warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of fifth-degree theft.
