Police Envy? West Des Moines Man Impersonating Cop Arrested Near Saylorville Lake

Justin Grayson was driving a vehicle similar to cruisers commonly driven by law enforcement officials.

A West Des Moines man who attempted to pull a car over last week wound up in jail for impersonating a public official and other charges.

Justin Grayson, 22, reportedly was driving a white Ford Crown Victoria, a model commonly used by law enforcement authorities, when he attempted to pull over another driver near Saylorville Lake, the Des Moines Register reported.

Sgt. Brent Long of the Polk County Sheriff’s Department said that the driver called authorities after the illegal stop and Grayson was arrested by deputies a short time later.

In addition to the impersonating a public official Grayson was also cited for having tinted windows and illegally colored lights, according to the newspaper.

He was incarcerated at the Polk County Jail, but posted bond and was released.
