Police Still Search for Ashley Okland's Killer Two Years Later
The two-year anniversary of Okland's death while working at a West Des Moines townhouse development is April 8. Police are still following leads in the case and still need help from the public to solve her murder.

West Des Moines Police continue to follow leads and interview people as they try to answer the questions: Who shot and killed Ashley Okland?
Okland was slain two years ago, April 8, 2011, while she was working as a Realtor at an open house/office at a townhouse development at 558 Stone Creek Court in West Des Moines.
With the two-year mark of her death approaching, West Des Moines Police public information officer Lt. Jim Barrett said in a news release that detectives continue to investigate the case. To date they have followed up on 766 leads, have had over 550 (388 different people) contacts in a database related to the case and have executed a number of search warrants.

Investigators believe that someone has information concerning the case who has yet to come forward, Barrett said. A reward of up to $150,000 is available for information leading to an arrest in the Okland case.
