Pour one out to help local pets
The Keg Stand in West Des Moines is hosting a monthlong beer promotion to benefit Furry Friends Refuge animal shelter.
Once again, you can order a beer and consider it a charitable act.
Throughout May, The Keg Stand, 3530 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, is hosting another Drink Doggy Style fundraiser for Furry Friends Refuge animal shelter. The Keg Stand is open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. seven days a week.
A dollar from the sale of each Green Flash Brewing Co. pint will go to the volunteer-run, no-kill shelter, which adopted out 1,077 animals last year for a live-release rate of 97 percent.
