Safe With Cash Inside Reported Stolen from Fuddruckers Restaurant

A safe with several thousand dollars inside was reportedly stolen from , 6378 Mills Civic Parkway, early Wednesday morning, the Des Moines Register reports.

A West Des Moines police officer responded to an alarm at the restaurant at 4:46 a.m. Wednesday. He found a door to the restaurant was unlocked, and there were no signs of forced entry, the newspaper reported.

The police report said whoever broke into the restaurant may have used an office chair to wheel the safe from the office to the parking lot, according to the Register story.

Between $2,000 and $3,000 in cash was inside the missing safe, accoring to the newspaper.
