SCI FI AUTHOR BOOK SIGNING @ JORDAN CREEK BARNES & NOBLE SAT. AUG. 17, 2-4 PM

Author Christian Schoon will be on hand to meet the public and sign copies of his
recently published science fiction/fantasy novelZenn Scarlett on Saturday, August 17th from 2 to 4 PM at the Jordan Creek Barnes & Noble bookstore, Jordan Creek Town Center in West Des Moines. 

Fans of science fiction, fantasy and
otherworldly adventure are invited to drop by. A portion of book sale proceeds from
the event will be donated to area animal welfare organizations. 

 Dr. Temple Grandin, noted animal science authority, autistic activist

and best-selling author (Animals in
Translation) says of the novel: “All future veterinarians will want to read Zenn Scarlett and her adventures with

veterinary medicine on alien animals.” The Des Moines Register’s Kyle Munson

states that “author Christian Schoon is becoming an interplanetary James

Herriot: All Creatures Great and Small meets The Martian Chronicles.”

Schoon is a former in-house writer with the Walt Disney Company and scriptwriter for teen and tween TV programming from Warner Bros., Disney, Saban, Hallmark, Hanna-Barbera and others.

Zenn Scarlett was released in print and ebook formats this past May by Strange Chemistry Books. Distribution in the U.S. and Canada by Random House.
