Second Date With Urbandale Woman Who Allegedly Swiped West Des Moines Man’s Computer and Toilet Paper?
Nah, probably not.

Plenty of people have an Internet dating horror story that makes you glad you've either found your soulmate or that you've sworn off dating as some twisted ritual designed to wreck your self-esteem.
But try telling that to a West Des Moines man whose date hit him up for $1,200 in rent money on the first date and then vanished with a laptop computer he thought about selling because he's broke, too. Then she spit on an already bruised and injured ego by going on the lam with his toilet paper and paper towels, as well.
Ouch.

The unlucky suitor — a 24-year-old man living in the 3000 block of University Avenue — told Officer Jason Lichty that he had met the woman through an online dating site. They spent the night together Friday and had plans to spend Saturday together, Lichty wrote in his report, but when the victim returned home from work, the woman was gone, along with his property.
The victim told police he had called the woman and asked if she had taken his belongings and she denied doing so. Urbandale police searched her apartment for the missing laptop, but turned up nothing, according to the report.
The value of the computer was estimated at $250. No value was placed on the toilet paper and paper towels.
