She Took It All Off; He Allegedly Took it All: West Des Moines Police Blotter
A dancer at a private escort service said she was robbed at gunpoint of her fee for a private dance.

An employee of a private escort service told West Des Moines police she was robbed at gunpoint of $140 after she refused to have sex with a client for whom she had just performed a private dance.
Police spokesman Lt. Jim Barrett said Wednesday the suspect, a 23-year-old West Des Moines man, has not been arrested or charged, but detectives are still investigating the incident, which allegedly occurred about 5:30 a.m. on Aug. 17.
The woman, who told Officer Jeremy Kemmer that she’s employed by the Absolute Attractions private escort company in Des Moines, said she usually charged $180 per hour, but the man wasn’t able to pay her that much, so she agreed to dance for half an hour at a rate of $140.
When the half hour had expired, the escort company called – which is its practice to ascertain the safety of its employees, the woman reportedly said – the suspect tried to convince her to stay longer and said he would be willing to pay for sex, according to the report.
The dancer reportedly refused, called a cab and went outside to wait. Her client reportedly followed her outside, but she said it wasn’t necessary and he went back inside the residence. About half an hour later, the cab still had not arrived and the woman claimed the suspect approached her again, lifted his shirt and exposed a handgun, which he then pointed at her, telling her to give him all of her money, according to the report.
She told Kemmer that she handed over the $140 and the suspect ran away. She reportedly told police that he may possibly have been under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
