Sit in a Fire Truck, Get a Tattoo: Learnapalaooza Schedule of Events

Learnapalooza, West Des Moines Community Education’s fun, fabulous, and free family event, is going under the big top this year. Join us on Saturday, April 14, from 9 a.m. until noon at , 625 S. 35^th St. in West Des Moines.

Learnapalooza is a learning zone that has many fun and educational activities for children of all ages.

Families can experience and enjoy hands-on interaction with learning activities. Children will be able to explore West Des Moines city vehicles including a fire truck, water truck, and snow plow. Younger children will be able to enjoy Preschool Palooza where they can listen to a story, play a game, get a tattoo, and much more.

Performances will take place during the event including: Stilwell Drama, magician Lee Cole, and Music-n-Motion. There will be door prizes, bingo for books (sponsored by the West Des Moines Library), carnival games, and many other interactive activities taking place throughout the event. Enjoy complimentary drink and snacks. 

Organizations from around the Des Moines metro area will be participating in Learnapalooza including Blank Park Zoo, Campfire USA, CULTUREALL™, DMACC, Safe Kids Greater Des Moines, , Safe Kids Iowa, West Des Moines Public Arts Commission, and .

Again this year at Learnapalooza we are helping people in need. Please bring in a personal care item (i.e. toothpaste, deodorant, diapers, laundry detergent, shampoo and conditioner) for . Human Services provides about 240 low-income households with personal care products.
