Snack Lovers, Rejoice! Twinkies are Staging a Comeback Following Hiatus
Some news sources are reporting that the former Hostess snack giant will stage "The Sweetest Comeback In The History Of Ever."

More than six months after bakery giant Hostess shut down operations around the country, one of its most popular snack foods will be making its return to shelves soon.
MediaBistro.com is reporting that Twinkies are headed back to the grocer on July 15. According to the AP (via USA Today), Twinkies will be back with a new tagline: “The Sweetest Comeback In The History Of Ever.”
The 2012 shutdown of Twinkie creator Hostess put 18,500 out of work, including 59 at the plant in Waterloo. It also had snack lovers everywhere scrambling to stock up on Twinkies, Sno-Balls, and their other favorites.
Meanwhile, brands were sold to other companies, Media Bistro reported. Twinkies was among those that went to Metropoulos & Co. and Apollo Global Management for $410 million.
The new owners also have a stake in fast food chains Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s, the article said.
Media Bistro also points out that the new and improved Twinkies will expire after 45 days.
When Twinkies make their big comeback, where will you get them from? Here's a few local stores that will likely carry them:
Hy-Vee, 1725 Jordan Creek Pkwy.
Walmart Supercenter, 6365 Stagecoach Dr.
Dahl's, 5003 E P. True Pkwy.
