Social Money Launches New Product for Businesses

The founders of SmartyPig have rolled out another product.

West Des Moines-based Social Money has developed a new product, CorePro, to help prepaid card users, payroll service providers and merchants easily integrate FDIC-insured savings accounts for their customers using their existing digital sites, the Des Moines Business Record reported.

Social Money is a subsidiary of SmartyPig, which offers goal-based online savings products.

The new CorePro application program interface is best thought of as a "Stripe.com for savings," said Mike Ferrari, founder of Social Money.
