Some of Metro's Best Made-from-Scratch Pizza Coming to West Des Moines

Gusto Pizza Co., which opened to strong reviews on the Ingersoll Avenue business and entertainment corridor two years ago, plans a second metro location with a shop at 8950 University Avenue in the new Greenway Crossing retail center.

The West Des Moines Gusto Pizza eatery will open in August, the Des Moines Register reported. The Greenway Crossing strip mall, located just  west of Des Moines Golf and Country Club, will also house West Des Moines’ second Dunkin’ Donuts shop.

Gusto’s menu includes homemade pizza and sandwiches, wine and craft beers.

Tony Lemmo, Josh Holderness and Joe McConville are owners of Gusto Pizza Co., which was founded after another popular pizzeria, Frank’s Pizza, closed in 2009.
