Suburban Lawmakers Gather at Legislative Breakfast Jan. 8 in West Des Moines

State legislators representing the western suburbs will outline priorities for the 2013 legislative session Tuesday, Jan. 8, at Des Moines Golf and Country Club. The breakfast starts at 7:30 a.m. and lasts until 9.

Legislators expected to attend include Senate District 10 Republican Jake Chapman (senator-elect), Senate District 21 Democrat Matt McCoy, Senate District 22 Republican Charles Schneider (senator-elect), House District 42 Republican Peter Cownie, House District 43 Republican Chris Hagenow, House District 44 Republican Rob Taylor (representative-elect) and House District 19 Republican Ralph Watts.

Register by Friday at the West Des Moines Chamber web site. The cost is $15 in advance or $20 the day of the event.

Chambers of Commerce in West Des Moines, Waukee, Windsor Heights and Clive are sponsoring the forum.
