Take your pic with Saint Nick
Have a professional take your photo — with your pets — for this year's Christmas card, to benefit Furry Friends Refuge animal shelter.
Come have your pet’s photo taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus to benefit Furry Friends Refuge!
Two sessions are available: Saturday, Dec. 5, from 8 to 11 a.m.; and Sunday, Dec. 6, from 1 to 4 p.m. Both take place at Furry Friends Community Spay Clinic, 1209 Grand Ave. in West Des Moines (next to our shelter); no reservations are needed.
For $20, your photo will be emailed to you so that you can print and/or share it however you like. For $25, a high-quality 5x7 print will be mailed to you, in addition to the emailed copy.

Professional photographer Theresia Welch — who does our adoptables’ website portraits — will once again be behind the camera.
Furry Friends Refuge is a no-kill humane shelter with locations in West Des Moines and Des Moines. The nonprofit organization has partnered with animal control in West Des Moines, Urbandale, and Clive to ensure that all animals in those cities receive a second chance; since 2013, those cities have achieved a live-release rate of more than 90 percent, making them Iowa’s only no-kill communities.
