Teens Allegedly Steal Liquor, Toilet Paper: West Des Moines Police Blotter
Depending on what authorities found when they reviewed in-store surveillance video, the party may be over.

Two teenaged boys allegedly stole two bottles of liquor and a four-roll package of toilet paper from a big box store last week, fleeing before store employees could stop them, according to a report on file at the West Des Moines Police Department.
A clerk at the SuperTarget store at 5404 Mills Civic Parkway reportedly asked the boys if she could assist them as they walked through the store with a shopping basket. They reportedly tried to conceal the liquor bottles – vanilla vodka and spiced rum, both priced at $14.99 – with the toilet paper, which cost $3.99.
When the boys, who witnesses estimated to be 15 or 16, passed the check-out registers and the clerk asked to see their receipt, one reportedly said they didn’t have one and ran out of the store, fleeing in a Jeep before store employees could stop them.
Store employees got the license number of the Jeep and are reviewing in-store surveillance video.
