UPDATE: Name of Toddler Released After Two-Story Fall From Window

The accident happened around 4 p.m. Monday at a home in the 7700 block of Beachtree Lane.

A West Des Moines toddler suffered what authorities called life-threatening injuries Monday after he fell from a second-story window.

Two-year-old Jacob Greenberg was pushing on the screen of an open window when the screen popped out and he fell onto the driveway below, the Des Moines Register reported.

The incident occurred around 4 p.m. in the 7700 block of Beechtree Lane, the article said.

Greenberg was initially taken to Blank Children's Hospital in Des Moines. Information released Tuesday morning by West Des Moines Emergency Medical Services said the boy was flown by LifeFlight air ambulance to University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.

Authorities told the Register they believe the boy's mother was in the room with him at the time of the accident.
