Underage Girl Reportedly Didn’t Take it Well When Man Refused Advances

A 32-year-old West Des Moines man who says he refused the advances of a 17-year-old female thinks she vandalized his car in retaliation.

He told West Des Moines police that the girl, who he knows only by first name, knocked repeatedly at his door about 4:15 a.m. Sunday morning. He ignored it, according to Officer Barry Graham’s report, “because he doesn’t want an intimate relationship with her.”

She reportedly became angry when he refused to the answer the door. He told Graham that he watched as she broke both the rearview mirrors off the vehicle, broke the rear wiper blade and scratched the passenger door causing around $250.
