Valley Hosts Coaches vs Cancer Games Tonight

Valley High School will host the “Coaches vs Cancer” tonight at both of the girls’ and boys’ basketball games against Des Moines Lincoln, according to a news release from the athletic department.

Valley has sold 200 pink T-shirts with the theme “Band Together Against Cancer.”

Tonight, pink bracelets with that theme on them will be sold for $3 each. And, Valley will have a “Wall of Honor” with pink paper basketballs that people have purchased to honor a friend, colleague, or family member who has died, is battling, or has survived cancer.

During both halftimes the impact of cancer will be announced. During the boys’ game organizers will mention the affect on the Valley and Valley Southwoods family.
