Valley Junction Packs September Calendar with Events, Great Music
A new event this year is the Henry Gregor Felsen Car Show, which remembers the spirt of Fesen and the cars he wrote about.

If you can’t find something to do in Valley Junction during September, you’re not trying hard enough. Here are some events to get on your calendar:
Thursday, Sept. 5: Farmers Market/Music in the Junction featuring The El Dorados. The farmers market starts at 4 p.m. and music runs from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 8: 34th Annual Antique Jamboree, rain or shine, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. along Fifth Streets. It’s one of the largest outdoor antique shows in the Midwest with more than 100 dealers displaying a wide array of antiques, including furniture, primitives, architectural, vintage clothing, jewelry, linens and quilts, glassware, stoneware, textiles, toys and more. Prepared food vendors will be on site.

Thursday, Sept. 12: Farmers Market/Music in the Junction featuring The Soul Searchers. The farmers market starts at 4 p.m. and music runs from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 15: Fall Art Market, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. A wide variety of items will be available at this juried art show sponsored by the Historic Valley Junction Foundation, including paintings, prints, sculpture, photography, pottery, jewelry, furniture, clothing, stained glass, fiber and much more. New this year are repurposed and up-cycled items. Musical entertainment will be part of the festivities. Children’s art activities and artists’ demonstrations will take place throughout the day. Refreshments will be available from several food vendors on the street and many Valley Junction restaurants and retailers will be open as well.

Thursday, Sept. 19: Farmers Market/Music in the Junction featuring Lavender Lace. The farmers market starts at 4 p.m. and music runs from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 22: Henry Gregor Felsen Car Show, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., sponsored by the Historic Valley Junction Foundation. This event commemorates and remembers the spirit and the books of Henry Gregor Felsen. All makes and models of automobiles will be on display. Visit www.HenryGregorFelsenTribute.org for details.
Thursday, Sept. 26: Farmers Market/Music in the Junction featuring North of Grand. The farmers market starts at 4 p.m. and music runs from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
The weekly Farmers Market/Music in the Junction continues into October this year because the start of the event was delayed in May due to a freak snow storm. The series wraps up Oct. 3 with crowd favorite Brother Tucker on the pavillion stage.
