ENCORE VIDEO: West Des Moines Elementary Gets Its 'Grand Old Flag'
The American Flag was Conspicuous by its absence when veteran Harold Christ visited Westridge Elementary School in November.
Westridge Elementary School is complete now in veteran Harold Christ’s mind. Christ, the chaplain for West Des Moines Elks Lodge No. 2752, was at the school last November for the Hoop Shoot basketball event the Elks sponsor every year when he noticed something was missing.

On Monday, Christ and the Elks Lodge rectified the situation, presenting the Principal Mary Jane Stites, the students and the staff at Westridge with a large American flag.
