Walnut Creek YMCA Hosts Kid's Halloween Party

Parents brought their kids to the Walnut Creek YMCA Friday night to play games, decorate pumpkins and cookies, and win prizes.

The Walnut Creek YMCA, which serves residents in West Des Moines, Clive and Windsor Heights, hosted a Halloween party Friday night for kids.

Ghost Fishing, Dark Tunnel, and Prize Walk were some of the many activities that kids could partake in for a chance to win candy and prizes.

It was all a warmup for Beggars' Night, which is when Des Moines area cities allow kids to hit the streets to trick or treat. This year Beggars' Night is from 6 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 30.
