We Set The Standard For Refrigerator Art!
Is your refrigerator door currently accepting artwork? Children love to show off their work from our Art Exploration class!

Children love art and they enjoy making things with their hands. Creativity is one of the most important skills you can help develop in your child. By experimenting with different art media and exploring new art techniques, children develop creativity, fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
Our Art Exploration classes are designed to provide children with an inviting, creative setting where they will be free to engage in the process of discovering drawing, painting, stamping and sculpture. They will gain confidence in self-expression and artistic exploration through a hands-on experience as they discover and manipulate different materials.
This class is introduced to the children in a playful and energetic way and is led by an artist who knows and loves how preschoolers process creative ideas. Have an afternoon coffee with a friend or get your grocery shopping done while your child explores and learns at the Ankeny Art Center. Our age-appropriate sessions are on Saturdays from February 14 through March 7 (4 weeks); K-4th Grade from 1-2pm and 5-8th Grade from 2-3pm.
If your refrigerator door is currently accepting artwork, please register in advance at the Ankeny Art Center or on-line with PayPal at www.ankenyartcenter.com. The cost is $50 (members $40). The Ankeny Art Center is located in a City Park at 1520 SW Ordnance Rd in Ankeny across from the John Deere plant near SW State Street. You can also reach us by phone at 515-965-0940.
