WDM CHAMBER ANNOUNCES LOGO CONTEST

The WDM Chamber is looking to the community to submit logo designs
WEST DES MONES, IA (July 10, 2020) – The West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce is reaching out to the community to provide a logo design for their newly announced “Best of the West” Awards. The tagline, “The Best of the West,” should be a core element to any submissions. Another required component is inclusion of the year “2020.” The WDM Chamber will narrow down design submissions, and then the community will vote for their favorite.
Logo designs should be:

• Easily screen printed
• In a high-resolution JPG or EPS format
• Gender neutral
• No more than 3 colors

The first annual “Best of the West” Awards will spotlight the best things that West Des Moines has to offer that helps position our community as the top place to live, work and do business. Voting will be conducted by the public. Awards will be presented in November.
The winning design will be used on various marketing materials, including but not limited to: social media content, apparel and printed materials. The winner will also receive a cash prize and two merchandise items of their choice.

“The contest creates an opportunity to showcase locals and their talents, highlight their vision of this community, and provides heightened exposure for the designer whose logo is selected,” said Katherine Harrington, President and CEO of the WDM Chamber.

Designs must be submitted to info@wdmchamber.org no later than Friday, July 31 at 5 p.m. There is no limit on the number of submissions per individual.
