Jordan Allen, Mallory Behrens, Alyssa Craven and Raymond Martinez will serve in their roles until returning to school for the fall.

WEST DES MONES, IA (July 13, 2020) – The West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce welcomed four new summer interns to their team on Friday. Jordan Allen, Mallory Behrens, Alyssa Craven and Raymond Martinez will serve in their roles until returning to school for the fall.
Jordan Allen is from Des Moines, Iowa and a student at Iowa State University where she majors in journalism and minors in women and gender studies. Her intended graduation date is May of 2021. Allen is an organizer and photographer for Ames BLM and made the Dean's List for the spring 2020 semester. Allen has showcased her art at the More Justice, More Peace event and went on a photography tour in 2018. Her passions include photography, roller-skating, yoga, activism, mental health and BLM/LGBTQ+.

Mallory Behrens is from Remsen, Iowa, and attending the University of Northern Iowa where she studies business marketing and supply chain management. Behrens’ intended graduation date is May of 2021. Behrens is the Social Media Coordinator for Hard Won. Not Done., a campaign celebrating the 100-year anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment. She is a member National Society of Collegiate Scholars, recently the recipient of the John Deere Marketing Scholarship, and made the Dean's List for the spring 2020 semester. Her hobbies include reading, golf, cooking and biking.
Alyssa Craven is from Indianola, Iowa and a student at Simpson College where she studies multimedia journalism and English. Her intended graduation date is May of 2021. Craven serves as the Editor-in-Chief for Simpson College’s newspaper, The Simpsonian. In her free time, she rides and shows America Saddlebred horses.
Raymond Martinez is from Lakeville, Minnesota and a student at Grinnell College where he studies studio art and chemistry. Martinez’s intended graduation date is May of 2021. Recently, Martinez studied European art, film and satire in Copenhagen, Denmark until COVID-19 sent him home. This last fall, he was the co-host of Grinnell’s electronic music radio station. He currently serves as the vice president of Grinnell’s Film Club. During his free time, Martinez enjoys video editing/making YouTube videos, his hobby of the last three years.
