West Des Moines Convenience Store Shooting Not Likely a Robbery

don’t think a convenience store clerk who was shot about 10:30 p.m. Monday was injured in a robbery.

The victim, Joshua Pugh, 34, received a non-life threatening injury while working his shift at the Kum & Go store, 5969 Ashworth Road. Police responded to a 911 call about a shooting incident at the store.

According to a news release, detectives are actively investigating the incident and are attempting to identify the person or persons responsible.

Pugh was transported to Mercy Medical Center for treatment of his wound.
