West Des Moines Groups Get a Cut of Dallas County Foundation Grants
Find out which projects will be getting a little financial help from the local group.

Three West Des Moines projects will be getting a little financial help after receiving grants from the Dallas County Foundation.
The Foundation awarded $91,594 in funds this year for a broad array of community betterment initiatives. All recipients had to be a non-profit in order to be eligible.
This year's recipients from West Des Moines are:
- WDM Fire Department; to install a new weather siren in Dallas County. $8,000
- WDM Police Department; to purchase a medicine return/drug collection. $1,500
- WDM Public Works Dept; to install remote access control equipment at 4 Dallas County speed zone flasher units. $4,160
Since its inception, the Foundation has awarded over $537,000 to nearly 100 Dallas County organizations.
