West Des Moines Man Awakes to Anatomy Lesson

A West Des Moines homeowner was horrified one day last week to discover that someone had defaced his white vinyl fence with a black marker, sketching representations of male genitalia and then labeling the artwork for all the neighborhood to see and correctly interpret.

He told Officer Jason Hatcher that he assumed the drawing and descriptive word could be removed with a solvent and “some elbow grease.”

The homeowner lives on Aspen Drive, an area that sees heavy foot traffic. He reportedly told Hatcher he doesn’t think it will be easy to catch the vandal,  but thought he should report the damage in case other criminal acts occur in the neighborhood.

The vandalism occurred sometime overnight July 17 or July 18.
