West Des Moines Motel Manager Reports Harassment
After being told her room couldn't be held without a credit card, a woman allegedly threatens to hurt a motel employee.

Second-degree harassment charges are being pursued against a 26-year-old Oskaloosa woman who allegedly threatened the general manager of a West Des Moines motel because he wouldn’t hold a room for her without a credit card.
The general manager of the Days Inn, 1258 Eighth St., was telephoned to settle the dispute that occurred when a desk clerk declined to hold the room. Officer Anthony Giampolo wrote in his report that the woman became “more and more agitated when she was not getting the answers she wanted.”
She reportedly told the motel manager that her husband was coming back in the morning and they were going to harm him physically. The manager then reportedly asked the woman to leave the premises and she is now barred from the motel.
The general manager said he wanted to reported the threats in case the woman and her husband followed through.
The woman is wanted by Mahaska County authorities on two warrants, one for second-degree theft and the other for fifth-degree theft.
