A resident living in the 900 block of 44th Street said he and his family returned from an outing to Omaha and discovered someone had dumped a multi-colored plaid couch and covered it up with a rug. He said he’d never had problems with his neighbors, according to the report. West Des Moines Public Works disposed of the couch.

Chocoholic Caper

A 21-year-old Windsor Heights man was taken into custody for allegedly stealing two Godiva chocolate bars, each valued at $3.25, as he walked past a display in a Valley West Mall store recently.
