West Des Moines Police Investigating Black Friday Stabbing at Mall
Authorities at an area hospital notified police a 17-year-old who sought treatment said he had been stabbed at the mall.

A 17-year-old teenager was stabbed as thousands of shoppers gathered at Jordan Creek Town Center mall for early morning Black Friday deals, according a news release from the West Des Moines Police Department.
Law enforcement authorities were notified of the stabbing, which occurred during a fight outside the mall about 2:10 a.m., by medical personnel at an area hospital, where the victim sought treatment for wounds police said were non-threatening.
The fight involved two groups of people, according to the news release.
Police were notified of the incident about 3 a.m.
The victim’s name has not been released and the case remains under investigation.
