West Des Moines Police Seek Help in Identifying Mall Theft Suspect
Suspect in theft of $1,088 in merchandise caught on store surveillance tape.

The West Des Moines Police Department is asking for assistance in identifying a theft suspect in the Dec. 30 theft of merchandise valued at more than $1,0000 at Valley West Mall on Dec. 30
In a news release, police said the suspect selected six items at an unnamed store and left without paying for the merchandise, valued at $1,088. The suspect is described as a white man in his early 40s with a slender build and light colored hair. The suspect walked with the assistance of a cane.
Anyone with information on the suspect should contact the West Des Moines Police Department at 222-3592 or Polk County Crime Stoppers at 223-1400.
