UPDATE: West Des Moines Police Reunite Missing Man With Family

A missing man is autistic and mildly mentally challenged, authorities said Monday night.

 

The West Des Moines Police Department, which asked for the public's help in  locating 24-year-old Weston Richard Young Monday night, said he was found in a local park and was reunited with his family.

He was last seen in the 3700 block of E.P. True Parkway at about 12:40 p.m. Monday. He is autistic and mildly mentally challenged, making Weston’s family and the West Des Moines Police concerned for his welfare, according to a news release.

He is 6-foot and weighs 225 pounds. He has brown hair, blue eyes and wears glasses. He was last seen wearing dark shorts, white t-shirt and a green/white ball cap with a “V” on it.
