West Des Moines Police Still Looking for Suspect in Armed Robbery
The safe at a Taco John's restaurant was locked, but the suspect got away with two cell phones.

West Des Moines police have not made any arrests in an early Monday morning robbery at a .
The suspect, a black woman in her 20s or 30s, didn’t get away with any cash, but took cell phones belonging to two employees who were closing out the previous day’s business at the restaurant.
The manager, Samuel Joseph Stockton, told police that he had just completed paperwork in the office area when the woman, wearing a ski mask, dark-colored hoodie and gray sweatpants, entered the business, pointed a gun at him and demanded money. Stockman reportedly told her that he could not open the safe, since it was in lock mode.
She then reportedly demanded employees’ cell phones. Another employee, Robert John Bray, entered the office area and told the woman to leave. He then turned around and called police, at which time the suspect again demanded their cell phones, allegedly pointing the gun at Stockton’s head.
The two employees gave their cell phones to the woman. Police were unable to track them because both were pre-pay phones.
The suspect apparently entered the back door of the business, which was not secure at the time. Video surveillance showed her to be about 5 feet to 5 feet, 4 inches tall, and weighing about 120 to 130 pounds.
