West Des Moines Schools Schedule Four Community ‘Idea Share’ Meetings
It takes a community to educate a child; school district wants to know what you think.

Superintendent Dr. Peter Ansingh invites members of the community to attend one of four WDMCS Idea Share meetings:
- Friday, April 20, 7-8:30 a.m., , 8355 Franklin Ave., Clive.
- Saturday, April 21, 9-11 a.m., , 1050 50th St., West Des Moines.
- Monday, April 23, noon-1:30 p.m., , 3550 Mills Civic Pkwy., West Des Moines.
- Monday, April 30, 7-8:30 p.m., , 415 7th St., West Des Moines.
These meetings are free and open to the public. Child care will be available. In addition, lunch will be provided at the April 23 noon meeting.
At these meetings, Dr. Ansingh will provide a brief overview of the challenges and opportunities facing the school district. Then, community members will be asked to provide their input through small discussion groups on the following general questions, “What are our schools doing well?” and “How can our schools improve?”
These meetings are the first phase of the district’s efforts to gain feedback. The second phase will be an online community discussion based on input provided at these meetings.
The information gathered will assist the district administration as it reviews district goals and plans for the future.
