Iowa Elites, a Cedar Falls-based business that promotes high school sports and recrutiing exposure for the state’s top athletes, has been following West Des Moines Valley senior Peter Jok’s high school basketball career.

Jok, a 6-foot-6 forward, was born in Sudan and lost his father to the violence in the war-ravaged country before his mother moved the family to Des Moines when he was 9.
