What West Des Moines Man Said in 911 Call that Got Him Arrested
Seven 911 calls were made over a civil dispute.

A West Des Moines man who reportedly wanted his roommate evicted was arrested Tuesday for using the 911 emergency line for non-emergency purposes.
The man, Michael Scott Radice, 47, of 3050 University Ave., allegedly called the emergency line seven times between 10:02 and 11:17 p.m., according to a report on file at the .
Police initially responded to the address on a report of unwanted guests who were allegedly drunk and out of control. The caller, later identified as Radice, reportedly told WestCom dispatchers that he had been staying with the man, but wanted him to leave.
When Officers Blaine Brinkmeyer and Scott Gass arrived at the scene, no one admitted to making the 911 calls. The police officers said the situation seemed to have been difused, so they left.
Within minutes, 911 calls were again made, reportedly by Radice, who according to the report “sounded intoxicated” and said that his roommate wanted him to leave and was going to beat him up.
Police reportedly told the parties that eviction was a civil matter, and they agreed to go to bed for the night, according to the report.
Police returned to the property for a third time, at which time Radice was arrested.
