What West Des Moines Needs Is ... ? What Should Move into New Strip Mall?

Several suites open in a new building zoned for retail and restaurants.

Denny Elwell Co., one of West Des Moines’ premier developers, is leasing spaces in a new commercial building at 5010 Mills Civic Pkwy., in one of the city’s prime locations.

What would you like to see in the strip mall, which is zoned for restaurants and retail? Tell us in comments.

Square footage in the strip mall varies, but the largest space is 2,128 square feet in the anchor suite, No. 100. Spaces of about 1,400 square feet are also available in Suites 102, 106, 108 and 110. One suite, No. 102, has been leased to a group called Tiii Hair & Nails,

Liberty Bank has a branch to the west at 5070 Mills Civic Pkwy., and Executive Laser Wash is a stone’s throw away to the south at 805 S. 50th St. Looking east, Fire Creek restaurant at 800 S. 50th St., and Walgreens, 4900 Mills Civic Pkwy., are anchor tenants in the Somerfield Plaza at 4800 Mills Civic Pkwy.
