Blockbuster Video, long a fixture in the West Des Moines’ Normandy Plaza Shopping Center at 1960 Grand Ave., is closing after the parent company declared bankruptcy.

What would you like to see in the 4,200-square-foot space? It leases for $15 per square foot per year, according to the online commercial real estate listing service Loop Net.

The shopping center is zoned for retail businesses. Hy-Vee grocery store anchors the shopping plaza, and it’s also home to LA Weight Loss Center, Today Nails, Chicken Coop Sports Bar & Grill, Papa Murphy’s Take N Bake Pizza, and El Rey Burritos, among other tenants.
