When is Kindergarten Roundup in West Des Moines?

West Des Moines Community Schools will begin registering students for kindergarten in early April in the annual Kindergarten Roundup.

Children who will be 5 on or before Sept. 13, 2013 will be eligible to start kindergarten in the fall.

West Des Moines Schools limit kindergarten classrooms to 26  students. Schools are based on the students’ addresses, but if classes fill up, they will be assigned to another building. So it’s important for parents to get their childrens’ names on the list now to hold a spot for the 2013-2014 school year, according to a story on the district’s web site.

Students who are assigned to a school other than the one in their neighborhoods will receive free transportation.

Hillside Elementary: April 11
